Joy Bonhurst has been a teaching professional for over 30 years. She uses a combination of state-of-the-art computer technology, including Trackman and K Vest, and personal instruction, both at her indoor studio in Kensington, MD, and her affiliation with Blue Mash Golf Course in Olney, Maryland. Lessons include a video analysis of your swing sent to your personal email!
From Juniors to beginners, to tour professionals, Joy has been instrumental in helping players of all levels improve their skills, lower their handicaps and make playing more fun!
Joy graduated from Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina and was the fourth female golfer to be inducted into the MC Hall of Fame. Joy and her team won Methodist’s first four National Championships from 1986 to 1989.
As a child, Joy fell in love with golf while hitting balls in her schoolyard with her mom and her golden retriever, Pepper, who Joy trained to retrieve her golf balls! As they say, the rest is history!!
Joy has been an LPGA and PGA Professional for over 30 years. She has provided instruction and guidance for golfers of all levels; amateurs and professionals; both at her state- of- the -art studio in Kensington, Maryland and at Blue Mash Golf Club in Olney, Maryland. Joy conducts private lessons, semi-private lessons, clinics and seminars for players of all physical abilities.
